English Club and Journalistic Club in Action – a Trip to Jogja Palace

What will be great thing to do during rainy day? Sleep? No! Do someting cool like what English Club and Journalistic Club do. On Monday, March the 11th 2013, English Club and Journalistic Club had a small trip to Jogja Palace or we usually call it  Kraton Yogyakarta. Rainy day didn’t stop their spirit and effort to do the trip. Accompanied by some teachers, they arrived safely at around 08.45 at the Palace. The students were accompanied by a guide who explained nicely about the history, tradition, and places inside the Palace.
Don’t get it wrong, having a small trip wasn’t the only thing to do. English Club students should interview some foreign visitors and take pictures with them as their main missions of the trip. Journalistic Club students themselves should also interview visitors or even people who worked in the Palace and make report or articles about it. The students said, by having such experience they could get more courage and confidence, especially to interview and meet  people. For English Club students themselves they felt encouraged to speak and learn English more.
